Systems Administrator

 

Our client is looking for a "hands on" Systems Administrator with at least two years experience to manage a 24/7 network and disaster recovery operation.

 

- Manage 30 MS Windows 2008 (R2) servers, Barracuda web filter, Fortinet firewalls, routers, Aruba wifi devices, and switches across three offices with 200 nodes in a 24/7 operation;

 

- Responsible for loading new operating systems, drivers, raid controller configurations, etc. for new MS 2016 servers and NAS devices to allow network inter-connectivity with other servers while maintaining security of the infrastructure;

 

- Manage and maintain network security including updating Fortinet firewalls, GFI spam filters, Norton and Sophos security patches, hot fixes, virus defs, and upgrades of firmware;

 

- Troubleshoot network issues relating to connectivity with servers, web filters, firewalls, routers, and switches, connectivity with branch offices, and interaction between servers;

 

- Provide support for software application functionality with other software applications (Elite Accounting, iManage, Citrix, MS Office 2010, MS Sql Server 2008)

 

- Hands on experience with MS Server 2008 (R2) and MS Server 2016 (R2), MS Active Directory, Group Policy, WSUS, Registry based policy, MS Exchange 2010 and MS Exchange 2016,  MS Sql 2008 and MS Sql 2016, Ldap, and security policy configurations;

 

- Researches application issues and provides recommendations to correct issues;

 

- Responsible for creation of instructions and creation of documentation;

 

- Working knowledge of VBScript, PowerShell, Perl Script, PHP, SQL queries, advanced "hands on" experience with Office 2010, and Document Studio is a plus;

 

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is critical;

 

- Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, clearly and accurately detailing problems, solutions, and ultimate objectives is necessary;

 

- Availability to provide "on call" support is required.

 

- Other duties as assigned;

 

- Occasional travel to branch offices;

 

- Law firm experience a plus;
