The Software Trainer will be responsible for providing classroom, individual and automated software training to the firm's attorneys and staff. The ideal candidate will assist in developing training programs and customizing training materials such as online learning modules, software manuals and quick reference guides which will enable the lawyers and staff to best utilize the Firm's technology. Candidates with previous training experience in Microsoft Office, iManage DeskSite, NetDocuments, Best Authority and Adobe Acrobat as well as other legal-specific software packages will be strongly preferred. Experience creating eLearning modules with Captivate and/or Articulate is a plus.
Daily activities are under the supervision of the Manager of Technology Services and the Software Trainer will work closely with the local Technology Services Administrators and Office Managers.
This position will be located in the San Francisco office and will be responsible for training in the following offices: San Francisco and Palo Alto. Travel to the Palo Alto Office is required on a weekly basis and as needed.
Experience and Skills
Requirements: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, document management systems, computer hardware functions, PC operation and a range of software applications; strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; patience and flexibility. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently as well as under direction; the ability to work as part of a team; excellent skills to transfer knowledge in efficient, pleasant and effective ways; ability to troubleshoot and resolve application problems; willingness to work under pressure and a willingness to learn new programs. Law firm experience preferred; bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
