Description
The SharePoint Administrator will be a member of a dynamic and high functioning team responsible for the overall management and administration of applications and services in a hybrid cloud and on premises SharePoint environment. The individual will work closely with other IT team members to provide administration, support, and maintenance. This is a great opportunity to enhance your skill set by managing an existing on premises SharePoint environment, upgrading it, moving it to the Cloud and leveraging Azure to develop and implement new applications and systems. In addition, the individual will interface directly with firm clients, supporting their business goals. Occasional evening and weekend work is required to support emergencies and firm business goals.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform SharePoint configuration, administration, support, and maintenance
- Design, develop, and maintain workflows, web parts, and user interfaces
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve SharePoint issues
- Support all SharePoint patching during approved maintenance windows
- Assist in the migration of SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2019 and to the Cloud
- Provide architecture, configuration, administration, and functional support to expand capabilities in Microsoft 365 including Power Apps
- Participate in planning and implementing cybersecurity and disaster recovery processes and procedures
- Participate in direct billable work for MPR clients
- Create SOPs and other necessary technical documentation
- Provide tier 3 escalation support for Service Desk issues
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline and three years’ experience or a minimum of five years hands on experience in SharePoint administration
- One year of experience with SharePoint online, O365 development and Power Apps
- Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server in a SharePoint environment
- Have or obtain Azure Fundamentals certification
Skills
- Proficiency with SharePoint 2013, 2019 and SharePoint Online
- Knowledge of SharePoint architecture, design, development, and implementation
- Knowledge of O365 platform including Teams and broader Azure ecosystem
- Knowledge of SharePoint front end development, including custom site and workflow development
- Knowledge of SharePoint Enterprise search and index configuration
- Knowledge of industry security best practices
- Excellent communication skills; both written and oral
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Persistent, questioning attitude and ability to accept that in others
