Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the Enterprise Systems and Network.  The position will be part of the IT Infrastructure Department that supports eight offices and a co-location facility in a virtualized VMWare environment. The Infrastructure Engineer should have strong working knowledge of Microsoft server applications, networking, and datacenter technologies.  This position is located in the Los Angeles Office and reports to the Information Technology Infrastructure Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage SCCM environment including server / workstation OS and patch deployment, application packaging
  • Manage Windows workstation environment including application integrations and group policies
  • Assist with maintenance of VMware environment for Windows Server 2012/2016 virtual machines
  • Assist with maintenance of network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and Internet connections
  • Assist with management of ShoreTel telephony environment
  • Assist with maintenance of datacenter infrastructure including HP servers, Cisco HyperFlex, Nutanix, EMC Unity, DataDomain
  • Assist with maintenance of Exchange 2013 environment
  • Assist with maintenance of Veeam backup environment
  • Assist with support of Azure environment and inTune MDM
  • Manage consultant and vendor resources and initiatives
  • Support firm security initiatives
  • Research and recommend enhancements to the system to better serve the needs of the firm.
  • Serve as an escalation point for network system operational issues
  • Provide quality customer service to all of the Firm’s staff and clients including direct end-user assistance in support of the Firm’s Technical Support Team.  This requires expeditious claiming of routed Incident tickets and detailed resolution of problems
  • Create and maintain updated documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years with MS Active Directory and Group Policies
  • 2+ Years with Windows Server 2012/2016
  • 2+ Years with Server Datacenter Hardware or Colocation facility
  • 2+ Years with VMWare server virtualization including deploying VM’s
  • 1+ Years with enterprise storage technologies
  • 1+ Years in Microsoft SCCM or equivalent desktop and patch management experience
  • 1+ Years Networking – Firewalls and Switching
  • 1+ Years with Citrix XenApp or other VDI technologies
  • Experience supporting Office 2016, iManage, iCreate, Workshare, InterAction, other legal applications preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with, and support the needs of, project teams and the technical support team with time sensitive deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and possess creative problem solving skills
  • Proven experience supporting large number (200 or more) of end users
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
  • Prior law firm experience preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically occasionally as needed
  • Available to work flexible hours as needed, including monthly maintenance windows
  • BA/BS degree preferred
