We are seeking an experienced Financial Systems & Project Manager with strong project management skills and a passion for technology to help lead the next phase of innovation in our Finance Department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending financial acumen with technology to improve processes, support attorneys and enhance client service. As the Financial Systems & Project Manager, you will play a critical role in leading finance-related technology initiatives across the Firm. This position partners closely with attorneys, administrative teams, IT and external vendors to support daily operations and execute high-impact projects focused on automation, compliance and analytics.
You will serve as a power user of core financial systems (e.g., Aderant, Intapp, Chrome River, BillBlast, iTimekeep, Onyx), identifying inefficiencies, leading implementation efforts and supporting system optimization. The Financial Systems & Project Manager follows a hybrid work schedule, with one day in-office per week in our Los Angeles office, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and works in close collaboration with IT leadership.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementation of finance-related technology projects—from planning to execution—ensuring projects are on time, on budget and aligned with firm goals
- Act as a liaison between the CFO and IT to define requirements, set priorities and resolve issues
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships and track project milestones
- Identify pain points in current workflows and implement system enhancements to drive automation and efficiency
- Monitor and ensure data integrity, system performance and user adoption for all finance-related tools
- Provide strategic financial insight into project planning, reporting and implementation timelines
- Support compliance with GAAP and firm accounting policies, including revenue recognition
- Maintain internal controls and ensure financial systems adhere to regulatory and policy standards
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as needed by senior management
- Develop and oversee training programs to support technology adoption and user competency
- Facilitate ongoing education to ensure staff remain proficient with evolving financial systems
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related field is required; MBA strongly preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including 5+ years in project management
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control best practices
- Demonstrated experience implementing or managing ERP or financial systems; Aderant experience preferred
- Proficient in Excel and data analysis; familiarity with BI/reporting tools is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be able to work in the Los Angeles office once per week
