Description

As a Digital Forensic Consultant, you will work with the US Director of Forensics and assist in developing innovative solutions, processing, analyzing and interpreting client data. In addition, strong interpersonal skills are as important as technical skills, as you will be client-facing, working with the client on site and with a large international professional team.
Role

  • Deploy off-the-shelf and proprietary data collection, analysis, and reporting tools
  • Responsible for receiving, documenting, storing, transferring, and returning evidence for forensic analysis and production
  • Maintains inventory control procedures for all evidence and oversees the release, destruction and subsequent documentation of same
  • Create and provide reports relating to evidence handling as requested
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of applications used for data management and storage
  • Work as part of a team to provide technical solutions to automate processes and functions to improve data storage and retrieval processes
  • Collect and analyze electronic data from a variety of electronic media, including desktops, laptops, cell phones, tablets, cloud based data such as Gmail, Hotmail, and iCloud
  • Work within the boundaries of an overall practice methodology and blueprint
  • Develop ad-hoc data reports and analyses
  • Maintain appropriate documentation to include events such as chain of custody
  • Provide data and quality control for all client projects
  • Work as part of a member of the North American Digital Forensics Practice while at the same time working to develop and improve relationships with local client base

 

Education and Experience

  • Previous experience working in the legal field or digital forensics required
  • Prior exposure to Forensic and e-Discovery tools such as EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, Relativity
  • Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in Data Analytics, Computer Forensics, Computer Science, etc. preferred or equivalent experience
  • EnCase or Certified Computer Examiner certification a plus, but not required
  • Some experience in client relationship development a plus, but not required
  • Any experience in forensic analysis such as report writing a plus
  • Expert witness testimony such as declarations, affidavits, court testimony a plus, but not required
  • Database experience in a professional services industry, proficiency in SQL a plus
