Description
The Information Technology Training Coordinator is responsible for the support of the individual technology needs of our various Practice Groups, as well as the Firmwide technology training program. The Information Technology Training Coordinator develops new training programs that will meet the specific training needs of different areas of the Firm. The duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Job Functions:
- Plans, develops, and implements specific technical training programs for employees, working closely with Department leaders and the Human Resources Team. Training programs include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules.
- Conducts new hire technology training, including coordinating with new Firm members on IT equipment delivery ahead of start date.
- Collects, maintains, and analyzes practice group data for various purposes, including to identify training and systems improvement opportunities, and assists with the creation and implementation of identified improvements and training programs.
- Writes all materials to support training goals. Reviews this information with Department leaders to continually improve effectiveness and to ensure that material is accurate and reflects current product features and defined Choate best practices.
- Performs validation testing on new technologies and services to ensure business continuity. Remediates issues with members of IT Department or application owners/sponsors as needed to refine product.
- Works closely with Management in the Information Technology Department to prepare training programs; lesson plans and training materials needed for the roll out of any new hardware or software programs to the Firm.
- Develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflects the training needs of our employees, Practice Groups and Departments at the Firm.
- Works independently and thinks proactively with minimal daily guidance. Must be able to train effectively and develop strong relationships with internal customers.
- Contributes to the integration of lateral attorney and first year associate hires.
- Assists with the protocols and procedures for processing attorney departures and client file transfers.
- Provides back up support for the IT Support Manager as needed.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of IT Training experience in a professional services environment.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office products, demonstrated proficiency with document production.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently, as well as in a collaborative team-setting.
- Proven ability to partner with departmental leaders and management.
- Professional demeanor and presentation consistent with a professional services environment.
- A+ certification is a plus.
