E‐DISCOVERY DATA ENGINEER (ADS)

POSITION OVERVIEW: An E‐Discovery Data Engineer in the Advanced Data Services Group supports the custom data transformation needs of clients, especially as related to custom analysis or modification of data within a hosting platform. This role requires communication with internal teams and clients to develop and implement custom workflows to meet emergent data transformation needs. An E‐Discovery Data Engineer in the ADS group is committed to maintaining the integrity of data while simultaneously increasing the value of that data to our clients. E‐Discovery Data Engineers work closely with partners in the ADS team as well as other departments (i.e., Client Services, Processing, Support, and Development). RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create custom solutions and workflows for clients and internal teams
  • Engineer and implement solutions to ad‐hoc client requests
  • Perform ad‐hoc Relativity data analysis, reporting, and modifications via SQL
  • Create, implement, and support Relativity Event Handlers
  • Creatively utilize and combine existing scripts, recipes, and applications (both proprietary and third‐party)
  • Develop Relativity scripts and lightweight applications to automate tasks and workflows
  • Contribute to overall Relativity script ownership (excluding those tied to larger processes)
  • Troubleshoot and/or enhance existing Relativity scripts, coordinating with stakeholders as needed
  • Analyze and perform third‐party/hard copy data loads
  • Coordinate and perform external migrations (from legacy vendors into Relativity environment)
  • Execute and QC large‐scale data manipulation projects
  • Manipulate custom structured data and load file formats
  • Perform custom overlays into Relativity
  • Perform internal migrations (within Relativity environment)
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures, especially as SOPs evolve due to
  • innovations made by the ADS team
  • Maintain healthy relationships and communication channels across business units, including IT, Dev, & end‐user teams
  • Provide support for applications developed within the ADS team
  • Provide training and guidance to ESI Specialists in the ADS team

 

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of EDRM
  • Relativity Certifications
  • Proficiency in SQL required
  • Proficiency in Excel (macros, pivots, formulas) and Access
  • Programming/Sophisticated Scripting skills (C#, VB, PERL, Python, HTML/XML)
  • Familiarity with eDiscovery industry standard review tools (Axcelerate, Concordance, Documatrix, iPro, Omnix,
  • Relativity, Ringtail, Stratify, Summation)
  • Attention to detail
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
