WAN Engineer
Boston, MA

This individual is responsible for the maintenance, support and monitoring of the wide area and local area networks as well as the video conference infrastructure. This person will also participate in the design of the data communications architecture. He/she will investigate research and recommend new technologies in the data communications field. Performance tuning and monitoring of the data network are essential to the Network Administrator's success.
Responsibilities include: troubleshooting and resolving network related issues to support daily needs of business plan, implement and support network solutions between multiple platforms using industry standard practices, install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot all LAN/WAN hardware and software, maintain and configure QoS for voice, video and data WAN, perform proactive maintenance of all network equipment, produce quality technical documentation relating to change/config management, network diagrams, and scope of project work.

Qualifications: Cisco CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, or CCDP certificates preferred or relevant experience. BS/BE or equivalent. Strong Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Multipoint PPP, MPLS, ISDN, Ethernet, H.320, H.323 and very strong knowledge of Internet protocols, standards and technologies Hands on experience with Cisco switches and routers (2800, 3750, 6500 series platforms) as well as Cisco WAN optimization (WAAS) and Cisco Network Load Balancing (ACE). Experience with Cisco/Checkpoint firewalls and IPsec/SSL VPNs. Expertise with VLANs, switching and routing protocols including HSRP, VTP, STP, BGP, and EIGRP. Equivalent experience levels required for Network Management (Syslog, SNMP, Cacti), Security and Project Management. Strong IP Telephony knowledge with video conferencing experience and other high bandwidth real time applications, as well as Quality of Service (QoS) configuration and management. Knowledge of Cisco's wireless technology including WCS, wireless controllers (4400 and 2006 series), as well as access points (1130, 1140 and 1230 series). Strong knowledge of the Windows platform with ability to effectively troubleshoot network related issues on PC's employing the Windows XP operating system. Excellent communication skills with clients, management and staff. Experience in a legal or professional services environment.

Litigation Support Project Manager
Washington, DC

Our client has an opening for a Litigation Support Project Manager in the Washington, D.C. office. The Project Manager will support individual case teams using litigation technologies as well as maintaining and supporting firm standard litigation support applications (Concordance and Concordance FYI, Opticon, LiveNote, Casemap, Clearwell and Sanction). Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Establishing a liaison role with case teams and assisting with any litigation support requirements; understanding the changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, document workflow and the best practices for the preservation, collection, review and production of client data; consulting and advising case teams on best practices for the preparation of documents, matters relating to electronic discovery and how to best use litigation support technologies to support their projects; consulting with legal teams and clients on issues relating to selection of third party hosting vendors and evaluation of proprietary review platforms, proper document production formats and management of vendor bidding and selection process; solving issues creatively to diagnose and address inconsistencies and issues in data received from various parties; ensuring that all assigned outsourced projects are on schedule and coordinating between vendors, Litigation Support staff and case teams; approaching new needs or problems creatively and working with team members to provide effective support.  Qualified candidates must have minimum of three years of experience in an active litigation environment, knowledge of and familiarity with one or more imaging applications as well as relational or transcript database applications, experience with litigation support applications (such as Concordance, FYI, Clearwell, iConect, Summation, LiveNote, CaseMap, Sanction) and associated image viewing applications, ability to handle a variety of projects and tasks simultaneous, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent client service, interpersonal and problem solving skills, highly organized, detail-oriented and able to take initiative when needed, ability to assume responsibility for projects from beginning to end while determining appropriate tasks, flexibility to work additional hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed, four-year degree or equivalent experience is required.

 Network Engineer

Our client is looking for a Network Engineer that will assist in the Firm-wide configuration, maintenance, and support of all network hardware including cisco and juniper routers, nortel, extreme and cisco switches as well as cisco wireless access-points. Knowledge of ASA and netscreen firewalls is a plus. In-depth knowledge of spanning-tree, vlans, tcp/ip, rip , ospf , qos vrrp and vpn technologies required. Candidate must also possess strong verbal/written communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be available to support a 24x7 environment.  Responsibilities include:

configuring, maintaining, and supporting cisco and juniper routers in a rip and ospf environment, configuring, maintaining, and supporting nortel, extreme and cisco switches, provide effective diagnosis and problem-solving in both autonomous and team-oriented situations, and can transition easily between both environments, communicate effectively with users and other support staff , both on an interpersonal basis, as well as in facilitating effective diagnosis and problem-solving, provide clear, concise, and complete technical support information, work within defined policies and procedures to provide creative solutions in a manner complimentary to the defined policies and procedures.  Candidate must have:  Knowledge and experience with support and maintenance of  cisco, juniper routers. Project Manager

Recently acknowledged as an "A" list firm in The American Lawyer's list of "the best law firms in the land," has an exciting Project Manager position in its Houston office. Reporting to the Director of Operations for Capital Litigation Support you will supervise and oversee all litigation support technical activities. You will serve as the on-site representative for purposes of client support for equipment, software-related issues and e-discovery, ensuring that client services and satisfaction are attained in all responsible areas and be the point person for assigned cases firm-wide. You will be primarily responsible for in-house consulting to clients, attorneys, paralegals and case personnel on current technology and vendors available to address litigation support needs, including a significant emphasis in electronic discovery. You will work closely with the litigation teams to evaluate, recommend, design, implement and maintain technology systems and services that will improve the firm's delivery of legal services to the client.

Responsibilities: Manage the day-to day demands of the technical requirements and litigation needs for the litigation support department (hardware and software), advise attorneys, paralegals and clients on best practices and new technology relating to electronic discovery and data processing,ensure proper utilization and profitability of the Litigation Support Department, shepard "Technical" projects through to completion (software research and testing, conversion and upgrade plans, etc.), manage all phases of the electronic discovery life cycle, project startup-up and development, maintain and develop broad-based knowledge of litigation support services and applications; responsible for "staying current" on industry standards and practices, evaluate and establish litigation support and vendor relations in regards to electronic data discovery, backup tape restoration and forensic collection/analysis, negotiate vendor services, pricing and contracts, serve as the point of contact for technical equipment vendors. Identify steps involved in conversion projects and involved the appropriate resources, advise and consult with other Project Managers on database design and structure in order to assist with preparations for project design meetings, interface with IT resources for NT support, connectivity issues and network issues, participate in the research and development of software solutions for litigation support, including work-arounds, add-ons, enhancements, and new products, develop and enhance end-user information management services. Initiate market, and develop business opportunities, establish and maintain relationships with clients and consultants, work closely with technical support staff to communicate system requirements and expectations.

Qualifications:  BA or BS and two years of previous project management experience. Working knowledge of computers and their applications in the area of litigation support, including thorough knowledge of litigation software such as Concordance, Summation, IPRO, Opticon, iConnect, as well as hardware, vendors and services. In-depth and substantial experience with electronic data production, data harvesting and case law pertaining to electronic data. Solid database knowledge and a thorough understanding of data types, data conversions, image types and viewers, and document production knowledge pertaining to litigation support. Strong administrative skills, including attention to detail, organization and prioritization of work tasks. Ability to work under pressure in a team environment, and balance conflicting priorities and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager of Applications Development, the Applications Developer responsible for the design, development and implementation of internal desktop or web-based applications.
In this capacity, the Applications Developer will:
Under the guidance of the Senior Application Developer, develop application programs in a high level programming language, including Visual C#, ASP.NET, ASP, SQL, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, XML, and XSL; perform component, feature, system or product analysis, modeling and testing; design or recommend changes in applications for new features; participate in design/planning meetings, working with the Project Manager, developers and the QA team to develop detailed design documents from requirements;

Education and Experience
Any combination equivalent to:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience; hands on experience with .NET application and SQL database development; at least 5 years of increasingly complex programming/analysis activities in a business environment;

Systems Analyst
